  1. Day 1 Port Lincoln

You will be picked up from the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre at 9.30am and once everyone is on board we’ll start our day heading to Lincoln National Park, which features some of the most scenic coastline in South Australia. We’ll visit Wanna for great views over Sleaford Bay where we’ll hopefully spot abundant native bird life including ospreys, wedgetail eagles and colourful rock parrots along the cliff top.  Keep an eye on the water below as in the winter months you may even be lucky enough to spot some whales.

Next, we’ll head to Stamford Hill picnic ground on the other side of the park for beautiful views across the harbour followed by a stroll along Surfleet Beach.  After morning tea we’ll travel to Fisheries Bay and onto a 14-kilometre scenic coastal drive along Whalers Way to see breathtaking coastline and some of the oldest rocks in Australia.  You’ll be spotting abundant native Australian wildlife such as emus and kangaroos in the sanctuary area so have your camera ready.

If you love wildlife then the next stop will be a highlight, meeting the very friendly koalas at Mikkira Station.  The only wild koala colony on the Eyre Peninsula where you’ll be able to take that perfect photo as they eat the leaves of the many Manna Gum trees.

A fresh lunch will be prepared on site followed by an oyster shucking demonstration and most importantly tasting fresh oysters taken from the pristine waters of Coffin Bay. This is followed by a stroll around Port Lincoln Marina and foreshore where your local guide will tell you all about the extraordinary range of both commercial and private fishing vessels.

At Glen Forest Tourist Park, you’ll have the opportunity to come up close and personal to kangaroos, parrots and other wildlife and taste some local wines.  Finish the tour on top of the world at Winters Hill lookout and after a fantastic day we will drop you back at the wharf in time for your scheduled cruise ship departure.
